Red Shield Cross Beanie | Black
$44.95
In 1147, as the Second Crusade gathered in Paris, Pope Eugenius III granted the Knights Templar the right to wear a red cross, the sign of martyrdom, on the white mantle of the Order. White for purity, red for the blood a brother was ready to shed. The same colours went onto the shield: the flared red cross on a pale heater shield, carried by the knights who held the castles of Outremer for nearly two centuries. Embroidered in Crusader red and bone on a black beanie.
- Embroidered knit beanie, one size
Designed by Outremer.
