Hospitaller Cross Cap | Black

Inspired by the Knights Hospitaller, the Order of St John. It began as a hospital for pilgrims in Jerusalem, was recognised by Pope Paschal II in 1113, and grew into one of the great military orders of the Crusades, defending the Holy Land alongside the Templars. Its brothers wore a white cross on black, and the eight-pointed form became the order's emblem, known today as the Maltese cross. This cap honours an order that both healed and fought.

On the front is the eight-pointed Hospitaller cross in white, outlined in red, with a red roundel at its centre, set on black.
