In the great manuscripts of the Middle Ages, scribes opened each page with an illuminated initial, a large letter painted in rich colours and gold leaf. This one belongs to Outremer, the land beyond the sea.
A gold letter O sits in a deep red panel framed in gold, with white flourishes and gold corners, above Outremer in blackletter script and The land beyond the sea in gold. A refined, scholarly design for readers, writers and lovers of old books.
Printed on both sides of a glossy black ceramic mug, so the design faces out whichever hand you drink with.
Size: 11 oz
Glossy black ceramic
Design printed on both sides
