The Church of the Holy Sepulchre, built over the site of the crucifixion and the tomb of Christ, was the goal of every crusader. After Jerusalem fell in 1099, Godfrey of Bouillon would not wear a crown there and ruled instead as Defender of the Holy Sepulchre. The double-barred cross of the Patriarchs of Jerusalem, within a double ring encircled by SANCTUM SEPULCHRUM and the year MXCIX, printed in Crusader red on a heavyweight black hoodie.
