In 1142 the Knights Hospitaller took over a hilltop fortress in the County of Tripoli and made it the greatest castle of the Crusades. Krak des Chevaliers held for nearly 130 years, until the Mamluk sultan Baybars took it in 1271, and its walls still stand today. The castle within a double ring, encircled by KRAK DES CHEVALIERS and the year MCXLII, printed black on black in charcoal on a heavyweight black hoodie.
