Map of Outremer The Crusader States c.1140 Poster
Around 1140, Outremer was at its height. Four crusader states stretched along the eastern Mediterranean, from the County of Edessa in the north through the Principality of Antioch and the County of Tripoli to the Kingdom of Jerusalem in the south. Within a few years Edessa would fall to Zengi, and the long struggle for the Holy Land would begin to turn.
Drawn in the style of an antique parchment map, it shows the four states with their castles and cities, crusader-held towns marked with red crosses, rival Muslim cities beyond, the Jordan and the Dead Sea, Krak des Chevaliers and a compass rose in the Mare Mediterraneum. A detailed, beautiful piece for any history lover's wall.
Printed on premium 200gsm matte paper with a glare-free finish and rich, deep colour.
