The Chronicle of Outremer Manuscript Framed Print

Two hundred years of the crusades on a single page.

Medieval chroniclers recorded the great events of their age by hand, in books decorated with gold and colour. This piece tells the story of Outremer in that same tradition, written in gold on black vellum and opened with an illuminated initial.

The chronicle runs from Pope Urban II's call at the Council of Clermont in 1095 through the taking of Jerusalem on the 15th July 1099, the founding of the crusader states and the military orders, the disaster at Hattin, and the Third Crusade, to the fall of Acre in 1291.

Elegant and timeless, it suits a library, study or office, and makes a distinguished gift for readers, scholars and history lovers.

Printed on premium matte paper with a rich, glare-free finish, and set in a dark wood frame, ready to hang.
