The First Crusade Map Framed Print
Three years, two thousand miles and a road to Jerusalem. This antique-style map traces the march of the First Crusade, from Constantinople through Nicaea in June 1097, the battle of Dorylaeum on the 1st July 1097, the long siege of Antioch, and finally to Jerusalem on the 15th July 1099.
Drawn in the style of an aged parchment chart, it shows the main army's route in red, Baldwin's detour to found the County of Edessa, battle and siege markers, the Byzantine, Seljuk and Fatimid lands, crusader ships under sail and a compass rose in the Mare Mediterraneum. A detailed, beautiful piece for any study, office or history lover's wall.
