Knights Templar Great Helm Poster
Founded around 1119 by Hugues de Payens and a handful of knights sworn to protect pilgrims in the Holy Land, the Poor Fellow-Soldiers of Christ and of the Temple of Solomon took their name from their headquarters on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem. Recognised by the Church at the Council of Troyes in 1129, they became the most famous fighting order of the crusades.
A steel great helm marked with the red cross of the Order sits at the centre of a black field and golden rays, with KNIGHTS TEMPLAR above and the Order's full Latin name beneath. Bold, stark and unmistakably Templar.
Printed on premium 200gsm matte paper with a glare-free finish and rich, deep colour.
