The Pilgrim Road Jaffa to Jerusalem Poster
After the First Crusade, pilgrims landed at the port of Jaffa and set out on foot for Jerusalem, through hill country where bandits lay in wait. It was to protect travellers on roads like this that the Knights Templar were founded around 1119, and the journey to the Holy City became the pilgrimage of a lifetime.
A winding road climbs through layered hills toward the distant walls of Jerusalem under a glowing sunset sky, small figures of pilgrims with their staffs making their way along it. THE PILGRIM ROAD sits in gold lettering above. A peaceful, atmospheric take on crusader history.
Printed on premium 200gsm matte paper with a glare-free finish and rich, deep colour.
